Kolkata : Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (ERWWO) is engaged in noble social causes like empowerment of women, poor street children & weaker sections of society to achieve the goal of self sufficiency and non-dependency. ERWWO has been working assiduously and achieved a lot in rendering remarkable and dedicated services to the poor and deprived women & street children.
As a part of that benevolent endeavour, an exhibition of handcrafted items was organised by the ‘Sui Dhaga’ team of the Eastern Railways Women’s Welfare Organisation Sealdah yesterday, under the inspiring leadership of Gunjan Nigam, President of ERWWO Sealdah.
This event, held at the “Sui Dhaga Tailoring Centre“, adjacent to the B.C.Roy Auditorium at Sealdah, aims to empower underprivileged women and children who have received tailoring training at the ‘Sui Dhaga Sewing Centre’ operated by ERWWO Sealdah.
Notably, the handcrafted items showcased at the exhibition were created by children who learnt such beautiful tailoring skills within just three months, which highlights their inherent talent and dedication. The total amount collected during sale in the exhibition will embolden them with confidence and also help them to eradicate pecuniary predicament
ERWWO Sealdah has been fully devoted to the laudable objective of uplifting the persons, who are in the need of Social and Economical inspiring elevations.
