RAKSHA RAJYA MANTRI VISITS WEST BENGAL & SIKKIM NCC DIRECTORATE

Kolkata : Sanjay Seth, Raksha Rajya Mantri, visited the NCC Directorate West Bengal & Sikkim. At the NCC Institute in Maidan, Kolkata, he interacted with Officers, Instructors, Associate NCC Officers, and Cadets. The RRM was honored with a Joint Services Guard of Honour by Army, Air and Naval Wing Cadets.

Cadets showcased their vibrant cultural program and training activities. During his interaction with the cadets, the Hon’ble RRM commended their selfless commitment to Rashtra Nirman and their embodiment of unity in diversity. He urged the cadets to stay committed as future leaders of the Nation and appreciated the Directorate’s efforts in training, social welfare, and community development initiatives across West Bengal & Sikkim.

Maj Gen Vivek Tyagi, ADG NCC WB & Sikkim, highlighted the cadets’ achievements and briefed the Hon’ble Minister on the challenges faced by the Directorate, including the need for NCC Training Academies in both the states.

The visit concluded with the Hon’ble RRM expressing his confidence in the future of the NCC and its pivotal role in shaping disciplined, patriotic citizens. He assured continued support from the Ministry of Defence to address the Directorate’s needs and enhance their capabilities in fostering national unity and development.
