Kolkata: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) entered the 90th year of its existence on April 01, 2024. To commemorate this milestone year, RBI is hosting the All India Public Sector Football Tournament – 2024-25 in collaboration with All India Public Sector Sports Control Board (AIPSSCB) from August 3 to 10, 2024 at National Centre of Excellence, New Town, Kolkata. Eleven teams from various Public Sector Organizations, including RBI will participate in the tournament.
The Tournament will officially commence with a grand Opening Ceremony on August 3, 2024, at the National Centre of Excellence, New Town, Kolkata. The event will be flagged off by T. Rabi Sankar, Deputy Governor, RBI. The event will be attended by esteemed dignitaries from the Reserve Bank of India, representatives from various public sector organizations, and some veteran football players from across the nation.
An Exhibition Match between East Bengal and RBI is scheduled on the inaugural day (August 3, 2023) in the august presence of dignitaries of Reserve Bank of India, various Public Sector Organizations and some veteran football players of the country. Match results : East Bengal won the match by 1-0. Chaku Mandi from East Bengal team scored the goal.
Public sector companies like BHEL, Coal India, CAG, EPFO, ESIC, FCI, Neyveli Lignite Corporation, Oil India, SAIL, Union Bank will be participating in this tournament.
