Students from Bishop Moro School, Nadia District, West Bengal, Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with 82nd Battalion BSF Jawans at the Border

Nadia: In a remarkable educational tour, students of Bishop Moro School of Nadia district visited the 82 Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) stationed at border area of the Sector Headquarters in Krishna Nagar under BSF South Bengal Frontier. This educational tour, which took place on August 10, provided a unique opportunity to the students to interact with BSF personnel and get first-hand information about the operations and responsibilities of the border security forces.

Around 70 students, accompanied by five teachers, participated in this enriching field educational tour. During the tour, the students interacted with BSF officers and jawans, and got detailed information about various weapons and equipment used by the force. They also learned about the duties of the jawans at the company level, including fencing on the border and visiting the international border with Bangladesh.

Apart from the educational aspects, the students and BSF personnel celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan symbolizing the bond between brothers and sisters, which enhances the spirit of camaraderie and national pride. The event was not only a celebration but also an educational experience, as BSF officers also discussed with the students the role of the BSF during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and the potential career opportunities within the BSF.

The Public Relations Officer of South Bengal Frontier Shri A.K Arya, DIG said that the visit was an important opportunity for the students to understand the dedication and hard work of the BSF, thereby instilling a deep appreciation for the security of the nation and the sacrifices made by its defenders.
