Bhubaneswar : SAI International School, Bhubaneswar, one of India’s leading educational institutions, hosted SAITED 2025, one of the country’s largest school-based science and technology festivals, envisioned by Late Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Founder of SAI International Education Group. Held on Wednesday, November 26, the fest drew over 5,000 students from government and private schools across Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
This year’s theme, “Infinite Possibilities, Endless Realities: Science Beyond the Omniverse!”, set the stage for a day of exploration, experimentation, and futuristic STEM learning. The campus was abuzz with young innovators showcasing prototypes, engaging in hands-on activities and delving into emerging scientific concepts.
The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, who interacted with student innovators. In his address, he emphasized the transformative role of STEM education, stating, “Events like SAITED must be encouraged across Odisha as they play a vital role in strengthening STEM learning. Our young learners must be inspired to think higher, dream bigger, and innovate fearlessly.” He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to advancing education through technology-driven learning, improved infrastructure and initiatives that nurture scientific curiosity.
A major highlight of the fest was the presence of Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, ISRO Gaganyatri and distinguished IAF Test Pilot. His captivating hour-long session offered students a rare glimpse into his space mission—from meticulous pre-launch preparations to precision operations in orbit. He shared insights into life in microgravity, daily astronaut routines, and the physical and mental discipline required in space. Exclusive mission videos showcased onboard activities, spacecraft movement, and stunning views of Earth from orbit, leaving the audience enthralled. His engaging conversations and thoughtful responses during the Q&A sparked curiosity and inspired students to think boldly about the future of space exploration.

Like every year, SAITED 2025 featured a wide range of activities including the Tech Fair, Start-Up Park, Med Talk, Minute Matters, Eureka, Science Serenade, Science Spell Bee, Math Maze, CODEx Gaming Lab, Aeromodelling, Crime Forensics and multiple experiential learning sessions.

- Crime Forensics: Led by Sushree Sabinaya, Scientific Officer, District Forensic Science Laboratory, Bhubaneswar UPD, providing real-world insights into forensic investigation.
- Aeromodelling: Conducted by Manas Kumar Samantaray, Chief Innovation Officer, AIC–Nalanda Institute of Technology.
- CODEx: Facilitated by Dr. Debendra Kumar Muduli, C.V. Raman College of Engineering Foundation.
- ENERGIZE Workshop: Delivered by Dr. Debi Prasad Das, Jigyasa Nodal Officer, CSIR–IMMT.
SAITED 2025 concluded with an atmosphere of excitement, innovation, and inspiration—reaffirming its place as one of India’s most impactful school-based science and technology platforms.
