Designed as a curriculum-based, age-appropriate training ecosystem, the program aims to position UKSC Academy as one of the most progressive and future-ready youth football institutions in Kolkata.

The launch took place as a grand football festival attended by children, parents, dignitaries, footballers and members of the media. Guests also participated in a high-tea interaction with the academy’s leadership, coaches, and young athletes.

At the core of the initiative is a structured 5-corner development model—technical, tactical, physical, mental, and social—ensuring holistic, modern football training. The academy also offers clear pathways for talented players to progress to national and international tournaments, and eventually into UKSC’s elite youth and senior men’s and women’s teams.

The grassroots program, spearheaded by Yan Law, one of India’s youngest AFC Pro Licence coaches, includes:

  • 2–3 weekly training sessions
  • AFC & AIFF-licensed coaches, including former professionals
  • 1:15 coach-to-player ratio
  • Age-specific training batches
  • Participation in local leagues & tournaments
  • Quarterly evaluations & detailed player reports
  • Interactions with first-team players on nutrition, discipline, and mental conditioning
  • Safe, inclusive, child-friendly training pitches

Leveraging Techno India Group’s extensive network of schools, colleges, hospitals and community centres, UKSC Academy also plans to build decentralised football hubs across West Bengal.

The academy has already launched its first satellite centre in Siliguri, with new centres underway in Malda, Durgapur, Falakata, Coochbehar, Jalpaiguri and additional districts. With 300+ students across six locations, UKSC Academy is expanding rapidly. A pioneering girls’ residential football program is also being developed in Siliguri to advance gender-inclusive sports opportunities.

Founded in 2024 by Techno India Group, United Kolkata Sports Club has quickly emerged as a rising force in Bengal football, becoming the first-ever club in India to win the CFL 1st Division in its debut season and earn promotion to the Premier Division. The club has also made notable strides in women’s football and futsal.

Speaking on the long-term vision, Debdut Roy Chowdhury, Director, Techno India Group, said:
“Our goal is to transform grassroots sport across the state. This is more than a training program; it’s a comprehensive development initiative. By bringing together quality coaching, structured support systems, and accessible opportunities at the community level, we aim to create a strong and inclusive pathway for the next generation of young athletes.”

With its structured philosophy, expert coaching team, and institutional support, the UKSC Academy grassroots program is set to become one of East India’s most transformative youth sports initiatives—focused not only on producing skilled footballers but also disciplined, confident young citizens.
