Kolkata: As a part of ER’s continuing endeavour for the well being of Railway employees and their dependent family members, the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Health unit Barasat alongwith B.R.Singh Hospital organized a multipurpose health drive programme at Barasat Health unit.
Height, weight, BMI measurement, RBS, ECG and other investigation were done . Consultation with Physician, Dental Surgeon and Gynaecologist were available. An eye screening camp for Diabetic Retinopathy and Cataract evaluation was also available . A total 130 Railway employees, their dependent family members and retired staff were screened thoroughly with all latest equipments. Some cases have been advised for further treatment at B. R. Singh Hospital on merit basis.
This noble health check-up camp was graced by Dr Subhasish Das, MD/B.R.Singh Hospital. The programme was organised by Dr Juthika Halder, Sr. DMO under guidance of Dr Kalpana Mandal, ACMS/H&FW/SDAH.
Such camps are being organized on regular basis in remote areas within ER network for early detection and treatment of various diseases of Railway medical beneficiaries.
