Kolkata: Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (ERWWO), Sealdah is proudly associated in noble social activities like empowerment of poor street children & weaker sections of society to achieve the goal of education and self reliance. ERWWO is relentlessly rendering remarkable and dedicated services for empowering underprivileged communities through philanthropy.

As a part of that continuous endeavour, CHAHAK KIDS ACADEMY is being operated by ERWWO Sealdah to provide education for poor and destitute children from Nursery to Class IV. The school is currently running with 55 street children. Essential educational materials such as books, exercise books, pencils, erasers, school bags, uniforms etc. are being provided free of cost from the school itself. Apart from academics, students actively participate in extracurricular activities like drawing, physical exercise etc. frequently. The academy is dedicated to offering quality education to the children of marginalized sections of society.

Chahak Kids Academy, under the aegis of ERWWO Sealdah, celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm. A cultural program was presented by the students, showcasing their inherent talents. The event was graced by Gunjan Nigam, President, ERWWO Sealdah. Teachers of the academy were felicitated for their unwavering dedication and hard work. The program was a heartfelt tribute to the teachers, for their selfless and commendable service.
