Command Hospital (Eastern Command) Celebrates Centenary of Military Nursing Service with Pride

Kolkata : The Nursing Officers of Command Hospital (Eastern Command), Kolkata, celebrated the Centenary Milestone of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) with great pride and enthusiasm.

The solemn ceremony was graced by Maj Gen Jyotindo Debnath, MG Med, HQ EC; Maj Gen Sanjay Maurya, VSM, Commandant, CH(EC); Brig Mini Mathai, Brig MNS, HQ EC; and Brig K Manjula, Principal Matron, CH(EC), along with senior officers, dignitaries and members of the Armed Forces fraternity.

The celebration featured a scientific session on innovations in nursing care and the release of a Research Compendium CD, showcasing the service’s continued pursuit of excellence in professional nursing.

The event concluded with a heartfelt tribute — “Honouring the Hands that Heal” — recognizing generations of Nursing Officers for their tireless dedication and compassionate service.

Marking 100 years of devoted care, courage, and commitment, the Military Nursing Service reaffirmed its pledge to uphold its ethos as an indispensable pillar of the Indian Armed Forces — honouring the past, healing the present, and inspiring the future.
