NCC CONDUCTS PARASAILING CAMP AT BEHALA FLYING CLUB TOWARDSGREATER SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE

Kolkata : A National Cadet Corps (NCC) Parasailing Camp is currently being conducted at the Behala Flying Club, Kolkata under the aegis of NCC Directorate, West Bengal & Sikkim, wherein almost 600 cadets comprising both Girl & Boy cadets of various Colleges are participating in this event. The Parasailing camp, which s on 17 Feb 25, will continue till 24 Feb 25. This thrilling event promises to be an unforgettable experience for the NCC Cadets, as they engage in the exhilarating adventure of parasailing, with approximately 75 launches planned each day.

The camp aims to instil sense of adventurism and foster teamwork, leadership skills, and self-confidence among the cadets, all while providing them with the unique opportunity to soar through the skies and appreciate a sense of achievement. As the first of its kind at this venue, the camp underscores NCC’s commitment to youth empowerment through leadership training and towards reinforcing a sense of
adventure which must remain at the core of our future leaders.

The West Bengal & Sikkim NCC Directorate at Kolkata comprises NCC units of Army, Air & Naval wings extending mandated training to more than one lakh cadets of the two states. It forms part of concerted efforts of the Directorate to widen spectrum and scope of adventure efforts of leadership training of youth. A Sailing expedition was also conducted recently by the Naval Wing of the Directorate covering 420 kms of Sailing on Hooghly River.
