New Delhi : Fabindia Ltd., one of India’s leading lifestyle brands, has launched the second verse of its Spring 2026 campaign, ‘The Song of Spring’, spotlighting a renewed and contemporary interpretation of the timeless craft of Chikankari.
The new collection spans Ethnic and Western wear across Men’s, Women’s and Kids’ categories, seamlessly blending centuries-old embroidery traditions with bold textile experimentation and modern silhouettes.
A Contemporary Take on a Timeless Craft
Reimagining traditional Chikankari beyond its classic pastel palette, the Spring 2026 range introduces vibrant hues such as plum, berry and fuchsia across cotton, crepe and yarn-dyed textures. The collection presents a refined mix of heritage detailing and sharp contemporary tailoring.
From versatile co-ord sets and tailored vests to fluid resort dresses and elegant saris, the silhouettes reflect understated sophistication. A striking monochrome series serves as the collection’s centrepiece, employing high-contrast black-and-white embroidery to transform the delicate craft into a bold, modern design statement.
Celebrating the Artisans Behind the Craft
Speaking about the launch, a Fabindia spokesperson emphasised the human story woven into every garment:
“Behind every thread is a heartbeat; behind every pattern, a lifetime of devotion. To provide deeper context to the craftsmanship, we have released a film highlighting the master craftspeople within the artisan clusters. It offers an intimate lens into our cluster communities, going behind the stitches to reveal the patience and precision that define Chikankari. It is a tribute to the master craftspeople who transform a rhythmic needle-pull into a cultural legacy.”
The accompanying campaign film pays homage to artisan communities, showcasing the dedication, skill and cultural heritage embedded in each handcrafted piece.
Designed for the Entire Family
Extending the craft narrative across generations, the menswear range features long and short kurtas and embroidered shirts, detailed with intricate yoke work and subtle ombre finishes. The kidswear line introduces playful all-over embroidered kurtas and checkered shirts in sun-washed yellows, soft pinks and breezy blues.
Each garment in the collection carries the Craftmark Tag, ensuring the authenticity of hand-crafted workmanship across the brand’s extensive retail network.
The Spring 2026 Chikankari collection is now available at over 350 stores nationwide and online at www.fabindia.com.
