Improving Lives: Group Legrand India organized a special medical Camp for Transgender & Non-binary Individuals in Kolkata

Kolkata: In a significant commemoration of Human Rights Day on December 10th, Group Legrand India successfully organized an inclusive medical camp dedicated to the physical and mental well-being of transgender and non-binary individuals.

This noteworthyevent took place in Kolkata and was executed in collaboration with local implementation partner – Civilian Welfare Foundation and medical partners – Apollo Hospitals.The camp witnessed a remarkable turnout, with nearly 200 transgender and non-binary individuals benefitting through this comprehensive healthcare services.

Group Legrand India, committed to Diversity & Inclusion beyond its workplace, has been consistently working towards supporting and contributing towards the betterment of LGBTQIA+ community and fostering an inclusive environment.

Through this medical campLegrand aims to address the unique healthcare needs of the transgender and non-binary community and promoting equal access to healthcare for all individuals, irrespective of their gender identity.

This camp offered a range of free health services, including physical and mental health check-ups with dedicated physicians from Apollo Hospital and clinical psychologists on-site. Specialty medical tests and essential medicines were offered to the beneficiaries.
