Kolkata : In a landmark display of joint operational capability, the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force conducted Exercise POORVI PRAHAR, showcasing their unmatched warfighting skills in near-real combat scenarios. The comprehensive exercise validated the effectiveness of joint structures in intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance, rapid mobilization, and operational logistics.

The exercise highlighted the precision strike capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces, employing cutting-edge technologies to ensure mission success. Ex POORVI PRAHAR underscored the synergy between the services and civil-military fusion, vital for operational victory.

The exercise witnessed active participation from senior leadership, including Lt Gen RC Tiwari, UYSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, and Air Marshal IS Walia, AVSM, VM, Senior Staff Administrative Officer, Eastern Air Command. Both officers observed offensive maneuvers in mountainous terrain, supported by advanced weaponry and equipment. Lt Gen Tiwari praised the clockwork precision of participating troops and emphasized the importance of joint structures to enhance operational synergy.

For the first time, integrated joint operations were conducted on such a large scale in the Eastern Theatre. The exercise featured advanced systems like M-777 Howitzers, P-8I aircraft, swarm drones, loitering munitions, and the latest helicopters, including Chinook and Light Combat Helicopter Prachand.

The Armed Forces also demonstrated complex operations incorporating air, land, and sea elements, including a tri-services combat free fall by special forces. Third-dimensional warfare was enhanced by next-generation equipment, proving effective in challenging terrain and dense electronic warfare environments.
