Kolkata: A health awareness programme on WORLD AIDS DAY was observed on 2nd December 2024 at B R Singh Hospital by Health & Family Welfare Dept B. R. Singh Hospital Sealdah under the guidance of Medical Director/B. R. Singh Hospital, Dr.Subhasish Das, Chief Medical Superintendent Sealdah, Dr. Kalpana Mandal and CS1 B. R. Singh Hospital Dr Subhankar Home. This year’s theme is, “TAKE THE RIGHTS PATH-OUR HEALTH OUR RIGHT”.
The program started with a rally by senior officials, Nursing staff of B. R. Singh Hospital and Railway beneficiaries, RPF Personnel, scouts & guides from B. R. Singh Hospital to Sealdah Station, covering Sealdah Parcel & Goods offices and Carriage & Wagon offices. About 250 leaflets were distributed among passengers, staff& persons in the parcel department.
It was followed by an interactive session& quiz contest by the nodal officer/HIV/AIDS/Sealdah, Dr. Sujata Basu, ACHD/B. R. Singh Hospital. A Skit was performed by trainee nurses/B. R. Singh Hospital.
Two officials from Swastha Bhavan, West Bengal SAACS also participated & delivered their valuable inputs. The program was highly appreciated by them. Chief Medical Superintendent/Sealdah. Dr. Kalpana Mandal emphasised prevention as well as early diagnosis and treatment of AIDS. Additional Chief Medical Superintendent/Health & Family Welfare/Sealdah Dr. Mandira Banerjee coordinated the programme nicely. The program was a grand success!
