The main motto of this initiative is to concentrate on user-centric approach by providing customers service at a competitive tariff with ease of doing business.
In a significant stride towards enhancing logistic and trade at Murshidabad region, a new goods shed has been commissioned at Murshidabad in order to boost infrastructure development in Murshidabad region. The newly constructed goods shed is strategically located to cater to the growing demand for transportation of commodities like cement, fertilizers, food grains etc. With the commencement of loading and unloading operations at this new terminal, the excessive burden on the existing Cossimbazar Goods Shed will be significantly reduced, thereby improving operational efficiency and reducing transit time.

Pawan Kumar, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager and Pankaj Yadav, Sr. Divisional Operations Manager have interacted with the Railway users to attract large no of customers to stimulate economic development of this region.
In an endeavour to encourage our esteemed customers to avail of this stand out facility, Sealdah division has announced a special incentive for local merchants. The terminal charges for the first year, amounting to Rs. 20 per ton, have been completely waived. This move is expected to attract a larger number of customers and stimulate economic activity in the region.
