• “Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar” – Award Ceremony held in ER
• Asansol Division Won GM’s Overall Efficiency Shield
• Malda Division Bagged Overall Efficiency Runners up Shield
Kolkata : Milind Deouskar, General Manager Eastern Railway, handed over coveted GM’s Overall Efficiency Shield to Asansol Division for outstanding performance, while Malda Division of Eastern Railway bagged the Overall Efficiency Runners Up Shield on the occasion of 69th Railway Week celebration (Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar, 2022-23 & 2023-24 by Eastern Railway at B C Roy Institute, Sealdah today (21st February, 2025). Further, a total of 37 Shields and Cups were presented by Milind Deouskar, General Manager, Eastern Railway & Sumit Sarkar, Additional General Manager to different Divisions/Workshops/Departments for excellence in performance.
Apart from these shields and cups, for conferring “Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar”, a total no of 154 staff and Officers of Eastern Railway were chosen for awards for their dedicated and outstanding performance during the year 2022-23 & 2023-24. Awards were given to selected band of employees from Commercial, Electrical, Engineering, Genaral Admin, Mechanical, Operating, Personnel, Security, Signal & Telecom, Accounts, Construction, Medical, Safety and Stores Departments of ER for excellence in performance.
The beginning of this prestigious award ceremony was marked by the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Milind Deouskar, General Manager/Eastern Railway in presence of Shri Sumit Sarkar, Additional General Manager and Smt. Seema Deouskar, President/ERWWO. The welcome address was delivered by Shri Sumit Sarkar, Additional General Manager commemorating the significance of Railway Week Award function.
Speaking on the occasion, Milind Deouskar, General Manager/Eastern Railway said that the staff and officers of Eastern Railway have rendered yeomen service in all fields to accomplish maximum possible achievement.
Milind Deouskar, General Manager further mentioning about all-round excellence in performance of Eastern Railway said that, safety is top priority of Eastern Railway and there is no consequent accident over Eastern Railway this year so far. General Manager also mentioned that Eastern Railway has become the top performing zone in respect of RailMadat portal based on passenger feedback. Shri Deouskar expected that Railwaymen being marked as hardworking can accomplish every task and truly contribute in overall socio-economic development to uphold the Nation with a brighter place in the world map. Principal Heads of Departments, Divisional Railway Managers, Chief Workshop Managers and other dignitaries also graced the occasion.
