Kolkata : As part of its 100-city cyber security awareness campaign, Bajaj Finance Ltd. organized ‘Knockout Digital Fraud’, a comprehensive awareness drive in Salt Lake, Kolkata. The initiative aimed to educate digital users about rising cyber threats and best practices to protect their financial information.
The event saw active participation from top Bidhannagar Police officials, including Kuldip Suresh Sonawane, IPS, DCP (DD) and Saptarshi Bhattacharya, WBPS, ACP (DD & Cyber), who shared critical insights on how fraudsters exploit digital vulnerabilities using tactics like digital arrest, job fraud, sextortion, and fake investment schemes.
Citizens were advised to stay alert, avoid clicking suspicious links or downloading unknown apps, and report fraud immediately via the 1930 helpline or the NCRP portal. The program also featured live demonstrations, tips for safe online practices, and interactions with cyber experts.
Backed by RBI’s 2024 guidelines on fraud risk management, the initiative underscores Bajaj Finance’s commitment to consumer safety in the digital age.
