Kolkata: On the occasion of World Photography Day, iLEAD Kolkata, in association with Fujifilm India, hosted Meraki 2.0 — a three-day festival that paid tribute to the evolving art and craft of photography. Held from August 18 to 20, the festival celebrated not just the skill of photography but also its growing influence across reels, movies, motion graphics, and modern storytelling.
The event created a vibrant platform where diverse perspectives converged, offering a space for enthusiasts across age groups to explore photography as both a career and an art form. By bridging classroom learning with real-world practice, Meraki 2.0 highlighted the transformative power of the medium in fostering meaningful discussions and creative expression.
The festival featured:
- Over 250 photographs contributed by students from 150 schools and 40 colleges across Kolkata
- Works by students, college-goers, and iLEAD employees
- Expert sessions including:
- Travel Photography by Lopamudra Talukdar, Fujifilm expert
- Visual Storytelling & Street Photography by Soumya Sankar Ghoshal, travel & documentary photographer
- Content Creation by Punit Sabnani, filmmaker, content creator, and Sony & Nikon expert
- Recognition and awards for outstanding contributions
By engaging a wide spectrum of students, professionals, and enthusiasts, Meraki 2.0 reaffirmed iLEAD’s vision of inspiring education, fostering artistry, and nurturing experiences that transcend generations.
