Kolkata: Aditya Birla Vani Bharati School celebrated its 66th Foundation Day at the Science City Auditorium with a grand cultural showcase built around the thought-provoking theme, “Maintaining Balance Between Matriarchy and Patriarchy.” The celebration reflected the institution’s commitment to equality, inclusivity, and holistic learning.

A key highlight of the evening was a captivating performance of Chitrangada, Rabindranath Tagore’s timeless dance-drama. Through powerful expressions and choreography, students presented a compelling message on women empowerment, touching upon themes of identity, strength, and dignity in today’s evolving society.

The event also featured a rare and refreshing musical presentation where both boys and girls performed Tabla together — a moment that earned wide appreciation for challenging traditional gender roles and celebrating diversity in classical arts.

Speaking at the event, Principal Gautam Sarkar said:
“Over 600 students participated in this year’s Foundation Day celebrations. Their passion and involvement reflect our school’s values — fostering talent while promoting equality, mutual respect, and cultural harmony.”

He also shared the school’s upcoming initiative:
“We are planning to form an exclusive Girls’ Tabla Group to encourage more young girls to pursue percussion arts with confidence and pride.”

The 66th Foundation Day celebration stood as a testament to Aditya Birla Vani Bharati’s enduring mission — to instill values, nurture talent, and empower students to grow as responsible and culturally grounded global citizens.
