The campaign was officially launched in Indore, marking the beginning of a youth-driven movement rooted in cultural connection, authenticity, and social responsibility.
Adah Sharma’s association with the initiative comes as a natural fit. Over the years, she has forged a strong bond with young audiences through her diverse body of work across genres. From her powerful performance in The Kerala Story to her roles in the 1920 franchise, as well as her quirky and engaging appearances in Sunflower, Commando, and the comedy Reeta Sanyal, Adah has consistently showcased versatility and depth. Her ability to move seamlessly between intense drama, horror, action, and light-hearted content has made her a relatable and trusted voice among the youth.
Expressing her happiness at being part of the campaign, Adah said,
“I’m very happy to be chosen to be the face of this campaign. We started in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. We’re trying to spread the message that real fun doesn’t come in packets or pills, and the best highs come from living sober and truly experiencing being alive. The playing of the dhols was impromptu—I had a lot of fun.”
A video from the launch event has already gone viral on social media, capturing a spontaneous moment where Adah is seen playing the dhol alongside a local band. The energetic, unscripted interaction—deeply rooted in local culture—has struck a chord with viewers, reinforcing her ability to connect effortlessly beyond film sets and red carpets.
What sets Adah apart is the sense of authenticity she brings to everything she does. Her interactions feel genuine rather than manufactured, a quality that resonates strongly with today’s youth. This very authenticity is what led the campaign organizers to choose her as the face of the movement. Adah represents a voice that young people listen to, trust, and relate to.
With Adah Sharma leading the initiative, Youth for Change Bharat – Say No to Drugs aims to inspire young Indians to choose awareness, creativity, and self-expression over addiction—demonstrating that positive change can be powerful, engaging, and even celebratory.
