Kolkata: The 10th edition of the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata turned Red Road into a celebration of fitness, unity and generosity, as over 23,000 runners came together not just to race — but to make a difference.

Recognised as the world’s first World Athletics Gold Label 25K race, the event marked a proud milestone with its theme #ADecadeofDifference, proving once again that when Kolkata runs together, it rises together.


₹45.68 Lakh Raised for Social Good

With the support of Impact360 Foundation (the philanthropy partner), 39 NGOs, 26+ individual fundraisers, 9 corporate partners and thousands of donors collectively raised ₹45.68 lakh.

The fundraising campaign concluded on January 10, 2026.

Since its inception, the event has:

  • Enabled 114+ NGOs
  • Raised ₹5.16 crore
  • Supported causes including healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, disability inclusion, environment, child protection and skill development.

Leaders Applaud Kolkata’s Spirit

Debashish Kumar, Dy. Chief Whip, West Bengal Legislative Assembly & MMIC, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, called the event “Kolkata’s vibrant pulse”, saying it represents the city’s heart and collective strength.

Major General D.K. Singh, GOC, HQ Bengal Sub-Area, highlighted that unity through fitness builds a stronger nation.

Debashish Ray Choudhari, CEO, Impact360 Foundation, described the 10th edition as a celebration of participative sport and meaningful social change.

D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President – Corporate Services, Tata Steel, emphasised how the platform has evolved beyond sport into a powerful force for measurable social impact.

Highest Fundraising NGOs

1️⃣ Tata Medical Center Trust

Funds Raised: ₹10,14,231
Cause: Healthcare

A leading cancer care institution in Kolkata, the hospital provides subsidised treatment to nearly 70% of its patients. Funds raised will support its Phase II expansion to increase bed capacity and reduce waiting time for life-saving treatment.


2️⃣ Childlife Preserve Shishur Sevay

Funds Raised: ₹8,02,929
Cause: Education & Special Children

Founded in 2006, the organisation supports abandoned girls, including children with severe disabilities. Funds will help secure ownership of its school building and expand inclusive early childhood education initiatives.


3️⃣ Dakshini Prayash

Funds Raised: ₹3,96,731
Cause: Education

Working since 1993 in Madurdaha, the NGO supports nearly 300 children with education, nutrition and healthcare. This year’s funds will support 25 children for one academic year.
