Kolkata: Stories of climate innovation from India are set to reach audiences across the UK, US and India as London-based advertising and media agency Here&Now365 has joined hands with The Earthshot Prize for a major international media campaign ahead of this year’s Earthshot Prize Summit and Awards in Mumbai.
The campaign, rolling out this autumn, is putting the spotlight on the people and organisations developing practical solutions to some of the world’s biggest environmental challenges. For the first time, Earthshot Prize Finalists are being featured across television and outdoor media in all three markets.
In the UK, the campaign includes outdoor displays across the London Underground and Piccadilly Circus, while in the US, the Finalists are being showcased at Times Square. Television placements are also running across NDTV, Aaj Tak, SET UK and B4U Music.
The timing is significant for India. The 2026 Earthshot Prize Summit and Awards will be held in Mumbai in November, bringing the global environmental initiative to the country that is home to more Earthshot Finalists than any other nation.
Founded in 2020, The Earthshot Prize focuses on five areas — protecting and restoring nature, cleaning the air, reviving the oceans, building a waste-free world and tackling climate change. Each year, 15 Finalists are selected, with five winners receiving £1 million each to help scale their solutions.
But beyond the numbers and awards, the Mumbai event is also expected to put greater international attention on India’s growing climate innovation ecosystem.
The Here&Now365 campaign is using that opportunity to take the stories of the Finalists beyond conventional environmental audiences. A particular focus is being placed on Indian diaspora communities in the UK and US, with the campaign presenting climate action through stories of innovation, resilience and solutions rather than through warnings and fear.
Manish Tiwari, Founder and Chairman of Here&Now365, has also written a personal blog for The Earthshot Prize, titled The Power of Communications: Telling a Positive Climate Story.
In the blog, Tiwari recalls spending childhood summers in the Hasdeo forests of central India and reflects on the region’s ecological importance. He also draws a connection with the Chipko Movement in Uttarakhand, where rural women famously embraced trees to oppose commercial logging.
Tiwari further refers to Mahatma Gandhi’s idea of Earth Trusteeship — the belief that human beings are custodians of the planet rather than its owners. According to him, that philosophy was among the reasons for supporting The Earthshot Prize and its focus on communicating solutions that can inspire action.
The campaign also carries a broader message about India’s position in the global climate conversation.
Rather than portraying India only as a country vulnerable to the effects of climate change, Tiwari argues that the country should increasingly be seen as a source of environmental solutions emerging from its villages, research laboratories and cities.
For Here&Now365, the exercise is ultimately about the power of communication — deciding which environmental stories reach the public and how those stories are told.
With the Earthshot Prize heading to Mumbai in November, the campaign is giving India’s climate innovators an international stage at a time when the country’s role in global environmental action is receiving increasing attention.
