Kolkata : Original paintings, sculptures, ceramics and traditional art forms will come together under one roof as the KIFALC Affordable Art Exhibition 2026 opens in Kolkata on November 3. The 13-day exhibition will continue until November 15, offering art lovers an opportunity to explore and purchase original artworks priced below ₹50,000.
Organised by the Kolkata International Foundation for Arts, Literature and Culture (KIFALC), the exhibition will be held at the KIFALC Centre, P-534, Raja Basanta Roy Road, Kolkata. The inauguration is scheduled for November 3 at 6 pm.
Paintings, Sculptures and Traditional Art on Display
The exhibition will feature a wide range of artistic forms, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, handicrafts, tribal art and folk art. The collection is expected to offer visitors an opportunity to explore different artistic styles and traditions at a single venue.
With all artworks priced under ₹50,000, the exhibition places affordability at the centre of its offering. The pricing may also appeal to first-time buyers and young collectors who wish to own original art but have limited budgets.
Bringing Art Closer to the Public
Art exhibitions often attract established collectors and buyers with substantial purchasing power. The KIFALC initiative seeks to widen that audience by presenting original works at comparatively accessible prices.
For visitors, the exhibition will provide an opportunity to discover different forms of visual art, understand diverse creative expressions and select works that suit their personal preferences. The inclusion of tribal and folk art alongside paintings, sculptures and ceramics will also bring varied artistic traditions into focus.
The exhibition will run from November 3 to 15 at the KIFALC Centre on Raja Basanta Roy Road, Kolkata.
