Kolkata : Railway is thrilled to announce special treat for passengers during the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja and Laxmi Puja, the most significant festival in Bengal.
In a bid to facilitate travel & ensure the utmost convenience for commuters and to clear anticipated rush of passengers during Durga Puja, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division has unveiled plans to operate 18 additional services of Suburban Special trains on daily basis having stoppages at all stations enroute on the nights of 19/20.10.2023
(Panchami/Sasthi), 20/21.10.2023 (Sasthi/Saptami), 21/22.10.2023 (Saptami/Ashtami), 22/23.10.2023 (Ashtami/Nabami) & 23/24.10.2023 (Nabami/Dashami):-
• One (01) pair Sealdah – Ranaghat Local (leaving Sealdah at 00:40 hrs. & leaving Ranaghat at 23:45 hrs.)
• Two (02) pairs Sealdah – Kalyani Locals (leaving Sealdah at 02:30 hrs., 01:30 hrs. & leaving Kalyani at 00:10 hrs. , 03:00 hrs.)
• One (01) pair Sealdah – Bongaon local (leaving Sealdah at 01:20 hrs. & leaving Bongaon at 23:55 hrs.)
• One (01) pair Sealdah – Dankuni local (leaving Sealdah at 23:30 hrs. & leaving Dankuni at 00:25 hrs.)
• Three (03) pairs Sealdah – Baruipur local (leaving Sealdah at 15:20 hrs., 00:30 hrs., 02:20 hrs. & leaving Baruipur at 16:38 hrs., 01:25 hrs., 03:10 hrs.)
• One (01) pair Sealdah – Budge Budge local (leaving Sealdah at 23:30 hrs. & leaving Budge Budge at 00:30 hrs.)
Moreover, all Suburban train services will follow Sunday running on 21.10.2023 (Saptami), 22.10.2023 (Ashtami), 23.10.2023 (Nabami), 24.10.2023 (Dashami) and 28.10.2023 (Laxmi Puja) upto 14:00 hrs. (starting from originating station). After 14:00 hrs. (starting from originating station), all tain services will continue their services having stoppages at all stations including Halts and Flags enroute on .
Apart from this, One Sealdah – Baruipur passenger special will leave Sealdah at 17:35 hrs. on the above days. 33863 Sealdah – Bongaon Local scheduled to depart Sealdah at 23:50 hrs on 19.10.2023, 20.10.2023, 21.10.2023, 22.10.2023 & 23. 10.2023 will be rescheduled at 00:10 hrs on 20.10.2023, 21.10.2023, 22.10.2023, 23.10.2023 & 24.10.2023 respectively.
31192 Kalyani Simanta – Naihati Local will short terminate at Kalyani on the intervening nights of 19.10.2023/20.10.2023(Panchami/Sasthi), 20.10.2023/21.10.2023 (Sasthi/ Saptami), 21.10.2023/22.10.2023 (Saptami/ Ashtami), 22.10.2023/ 23.10.2023 (Ashtami/ Nabami) & 23.10.2023/24.10.2023 (Nabami/ Dashami).
To avoid any untoward incident Railway administration in consultation with local competent authority have decided to temporarily suspend stoppage of all UP Kalyani Simanta Local at Kalyani Ghoshpara (KLYG) (Flag) station on 20.10.2023 (Sasthi), 21.10.2023 (Saptami), 22.10.2023 (Ashtami) & 23.10.2023 (Nabami) between 16:00 hrs & 23:00 hrs.
13 EMU locals will remain cancelled on the above days.
