Kolkata : DRM Sealdah, along with divisional officers, inspected the all important ongoing Stringer Replacement Work at Bridge No. 2 on the Up CCR line in between Dumdum – Dankuni Section. This crucial bridge maintenance work, being undertaken despite the challenging scorching summer heat, is a testimony to the unflinching dedication of the Railway employees.
The work involves replacing bridge stringers – the horizontal beams that support the Railway tracks alongwith rail bearers. This critical work strengthens the bridge structure, ensuring smooth and safe movement of trains.
