DM chairs Meeting to review Medical College Safety and Security

Birbhum ,Raju Mal: Birbhum District Administrator, Bidhan Roy, held an emergency meeting at Rampurhat Medical College and Hospital’s academic department to review safety and security measures. The meeting followed recent incidents and state government directives.

Roy, accompanied by SP, DSP, SDPO, and other dignitaries, assured journalists that the meeting aimed to implement the state’s safety and security guidelines.

“We are committed to 100% implementation of the state’s directives,” Roy stated. “A core committee and sub-committees have been formed, comprising nine members, to oversee the efforts.”

When queried about progress, Roy highlighted:

  • Installation of additional CCTV cameras
  • Improved lighting
  • Duty doctors’ rest rooms
  • Renovation of washrooms, bathrooms, and toilets

“Many tasks have been completed, and ongoing work will be finished soon,” Roy assured. “We will submit detailed reports to higher authorities.”

The meeting demonstrated the district administration’s commitment to ensuring hospital safety and security, addressing concerns raised by recent incidents.
