Kolkata: Mahindra & Mahindra has handed over the first batch of its newly launched Veero Xtra commercial vehicles to customers in Kolkata, marking what the company described as its first mega delivery of the model in India.
The delivery event was held at Aquatica Grounds, where customers received their vehicles as Mahindra looks to expand its presence in the light commercial vehicle segment across Eastern India.
The event was attended by actress and model Darshana Banik, along with Mahindra’s regional sales team, including Shekhar Raghav, Zonal Sales Manager, East, and Swathik, Regional Sales Manager, West Bengal & Sikkim.
Speaking at the event, Shekhar Raghav said the response to the Veero Xtra reflects the confidence of customers in Mahindra’s commercial vehicle range. He also highlighted the company’s focus on expanding its sales and service network across Eastern India.
The Veero Xtra is the latest addition to Mahindra’s commercial vehicle portfolio and is aimed at businesses, fleet operators and last-mile logistics users. The company is positioning the vehicle around durability, operating efficiency and everyday commercial use.
The Veero Xtra is currently available through Mahindra dealerships across West Bengal and Sikkim. The company said more mega delivery events are planned in the region as customer deliveries continue.
The latest delivery event comes as Mahindra looks to strengthen its position in the LCV segment below 3.5 tonnes, particularly among small businesses and operators involved in local and last-mile transportation.
