Kolkata : The Yellow Turtle, South Kolkata’s acclaimed Asian dining destination, has kicked off its much-anticipated Dim Sum Festival, offering a curated experience that brings together traditional flavours, innovative recipes, and the artistry of Asian culinary craftsmanship.
Renowned for its commitment to authentic Asian cuisine, The Yellow Turtle has been a favourite among food lovers for over five years. With this festival, the restaurant celebrates not just the beloved dim sum, but the cultural stories, techniques, and passion behind every bite.

Crafted by in-house chef Arun Shaw, the festival menu presents a range of exquisite dumplings that blend bold ingredients and creative flair:
- Chilli Coriander Avocado Suimai – A refreshing take on a classic, served with a ginger-scallion spicy dip.
- Veg Seasonal Mango Dumpling – A vibrant, seasonal special with fresh mango and a house-made mango dip.
- Chicken Gyoza Dumpling – Japanese-style pan-fried dumpling paired with a rich black bean pepper sauce.
- Seafood Dim Sum – A luxurious blend of lobster, prawn, and sea bass, matched with oyster soy chilli dip.
- Five Spice Wrapped Pork in Pakchoy – Savoury and aromatic, this dim sum highlights Chinese five-spice wrapped in pakchoy leaves.
Each item is priced affordably between ₹249 to ₹399, making the experience both indulgent and accessible.
“This isn’t just an event,” says Apeksha Lahiri, owner of The Yellow Turtle. “When we began our journey, we wanted to make food an experience, not just a meal. Dim sums became a signature of that journey. This festival reflects that legacy — combining classic favourites with bold, new innovations.”

The Dim Sum Festival promises a culinary journey through Asia, perfect for both seasoned gourmets and curious diners. Guests are invited to savour the textures, tastes, and stories behind each handcrafted dim sum — all in a warm, contemporary setting that honours both tradition and modern taste.
Whether you’re a lover of authentic Asian fare or someone eager to explore bold new flavours, The Yellow Turtle’s Dim Sum Festival is an experience not to be missed.
