TechnoSport Earmarks Eastern India as Growth Engine, Launches Exclusive Brand Outlets in Kolkata & Asansol

Kolkata: TechnoSport, India’s fastest growing activewear brand, has set its sights on Eastern India as the next big driver of growth with the launch of two Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) at Mani Square Mall, Kolkata, and Sentrum Mall, Asansol.

The expansion takes TechnoSport’s EBO count to 21 stores nationwide, marking a decisive step in its retail journey. With EBO revenues doubling year-on-year and stores recording an 83% conversion rate on footfalls, the brand remains firmly on track to achieve its ambitious ₹600 crore revenue target for FY 2025-26.

The Kolkata launch, spanning 1714 sq. ft., was inaugurated by Indian footballer Pritam Kotal, reflecting TechnoSport’s deep-rooted association with sports and athletes. The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a high-energy Zumba session, bringing an upbeat festive spirit ahead of the Durga Puja season.

Speaking at the event, Puspen Maity, CEO of TechnoSport, said:

“The East is a strategically important market for us, and our insights show strong demand here. We are confident about replicating our success in this region. Our Kolkata outlet is designed to provide a fresh shopping experience where people can connect with the brand, explore innovations, and discover activewear crafted for their lifestyles.”

Alongside retail expansion, TechnoSport is also driving job creation and local economic growth. The brand recently signed an MoU with the Government of Odisha to invest ₹100 crore in a state-of-the-art activewear manufacturing facility, which is expected to employ over 1,000 workers.

The new outlets feature TechnoSport’s full range of high-performance activewear, powered by in-house fabric innovations like Cotflex (4-way stretch with memory function), Techno Dry (quick-dry), and Matpiq (soft, matte finish). Advanced technologies such as TECHNOCOOL+, TechnoGuard (antimicrobial protection), and UPF 50+ sun protection make the apparel ideal for both intense workouts and everyday comfort.

With this expansion, TechnoSport is not only strengthening its retail footprint but also reinforcing its mission of combining innovation, performance, and social impact in India’s booming activewear market.
