Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 to Power Global Dialogue on Sustainable Energy Transition

Kolkata: The Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, one of the largest electricity-focused platforms globally, is scheduled to be held from March 19 to 22, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, under the theme “Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally.”

The four-day Summit will bring together global policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers, investors and domain experts to collectively shape the future of electricity systems. The discussions will span the entire power value chain, including generation, transmission, distribution, storage and smart consumption, reflecting India’s rapidly evolving energy landscape and its growing global leadership in the power sector.

The Summit is expected to feature over 50 high-level conference sessions, with participation from more than 300 speakers, 1,000 delegates, 500+ exhibitors, and over 25,000 visitors, making it one of the most comprehensive and influential electricity sector events worldwide.

Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 is a Ministry of Power and industry-led initiative, coordinated by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India), with joint support from leading power sector PSUs including POWERGRID (nodal agency), NTPC, Power Finance Corporation (PFC), Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) and NHPC.

Kolkata Stakeholders’ Engagement & Roadshow

As part of the build-up to the main event, the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 Stakeholders’ Engagement & Roadshow was organised in Kolkata on January 21, 2026. The programme brought together senior officials from key power sector public sector undertakings (PSUs), policymakers and industry stakeholders to deliberate on India’s electricity sector roadmap.

The engagement focused on sharing insights into India’s evolving electricity ecosystem, emerging opportunities, and policy directions, while also outlining the vision, objectives and global significance of Bharat Electricity Summit 2026. The roadshow served as an important platform to strengthen collaboration between central and state utilities, manufacturers, technology providers and solution developers.

Senior representatives from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) were present at the programme, underlining the active participation of eastern India’s power sector leadership in shaping the national electricity agenda.

Driving India’s Power Sector Vision

Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 aims to position India as a global hub for power sector innovation, manufacturing and exports, while accelerating the country’s transition towards clean, resilient and digitally enabled electricity systems. The Summit will also focus on international collaboration, technology transfer and investment opportunities, aligning with India’s long-term energy security and sustainability goals.

With strong government backing and robust industry participation, Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 is poised to play a pivotal role in driving dialogue, partnerships and actionable outcomes for the future of electricity—both in India and globally.
