Franchise unveils squad and official jersey ahead of Colombo campaign

Kolkata: RDB Monarch Bengal Indians, the East Zone franchise for the JITO Premier League (JPL) 2026, has unveiled its final squad and official team jersey ahead of the tournament, which will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from August 24 to September 5.

The launch event, held at RDB Regent Vatika in Kolkata, was attended by franchise owners, players, team management and supporters. RDB Group and Monarch Group have jointly launched the franchise, which will represent the East Zone in the 12-franchise community cricket league.

The JITO Premier League is an initiative of JITO (Jain International Trade Organisation), bringing entrepreneurs and professionals from across the community together through cricket, with a focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership and community bonding.

The event was attended by Vinod Dugar, Chairman, RDB Group, while former Indian cricketer Saradindu Mukherjee, who has been appointed head coach of RDB Monarch Bengal Indians, was also present along with his support team.

Speaking at the launch, Vinod Dugar said the tournament provides an opportunity for the Jain community to come together through its shared passion for cricket. He expressed confidence in the team’s campaign and said the franchise was proud to represent the East Zone in Colombo.

Himanshu Shah, Chairman, Monarch Group, said the franchise has a talented and committed squad and expressed confidence that the players would demonstrate discipline, competitive spirit and teamwork throughout the tournament.

Bhaven Kamdar, Chairman, JITO JITEM, described the JPL as a platform that brings the community together through cricket and wished RDB Monarch Bengal Indians success in its Colombo campaign.

Head coach Saradindu Mukherjee said the squad had shown commitment and discipline during preparations. He said the team had a balanced combination of experienced players and young talent and would aim to play fearless cricket while carrying the pride of the East Zone.

The team will be led by Priyank Bengani, with Deepak Jain as vice-captain. The squad also includes U-19 player Darsh Dugar, highlighting the franchise’s focus on providing opportunities to emerging cricketers.

RDB Monarch Bengal Indians has been placed in Group B, alongside Mumbai Kings, Pune Peshwas, Indore Hawks, Chennai Striker Kings and Gujarat Gladiators.

With the tournament set to begin in Colombo on August 24, the franchise will now look to translate its preparations into performances on the field as it takes on teams from across the country.
