CERA opens new Style Studio in Kolkata, targets growing premium bathroom market

Business Kolkata

Kolkata: Kolkata’s premium home and interior design market has gained another destination for bathroom solutions, with CERA Sanitaryware Ltd. opening a new company-owned CERA Style Studio in the city.

The new studio, located at Tirumala 22, Unit 3A, 22 Topsia Road (East), Kolkata, brings CERA’s range of sanitaryware, faucets, wellness products and other bathroom solutions together under one roof.

The studio was inaugurated by Dr Vikram Somany, Chairman and Managing Director, CERA Sanitaryware, along with Deepshikha Khaitan, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director. Architects, interior designers, developers, company officials and channel partners were also present at the launch.

Unlike a conventional retail outlet, the new Style Studio has been designed as an experience-led space where customers and members of the design community can view products in different applications and get a closer look at CERA’s premium bathroom collections.

Three CERA collections under one roof

One of the key attractions of the new studio is the display of products from CERA, Senator and Cera Luxe at a single location.

The portfolio covers sanitaryware and faucets along with wellness solutions and allied bathroom products. The format is aimed particularly at consumers who are planning new homes or renovations, as well as architects and interior designers looking for integrated bathroom solutions for residential and commercial projects.

The company sees Kolkata and the wider eastern market as an important growth area, supported by an established network of architects, designers, developers, dealers and consumers.

“Kolkata has always been an important market for CERA,” said Dr Vikram Somany at the inauguration. He said the new studio was intended to bring the company’s wider product portfolio closer to customers while strengthening its presence in the eastern market.

Deepshikha Khaitan said the idea behind the Style Studio was to move beyond simply displaying products and create a space where customers and designers could visualise complete bathroom concepts.

Brand looks to make bathrooms more personal

The Kolkata launch also comes as CERA pushes a broader shift in how bathroom spaces are presented to consumers.

The company’s ongoing brand campaign, “Your Moment of Cera,” featuring Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon, positions the bathroom as more than a purely functional part of a home. The campaign focuses on the idea of using the space to relax, refresh and spend some personal time.

The new Kolkata studio follows a similar experience-driven approach, allowing visitors to see the products first-hand rather than relying only on catalogues or individual product displays.

For architects and interior designers, the studio is also expected to function as a product discovery and planning space, particularly as bathroom design increasingly becomes part of the overall interior design of a home.

Focus on eastern India

The expansion comes at a time when premium bathroom and home improvement categories are seeing greater emphasis on design, technology and personalised experiences.

For CERA, the new company-owned outlet gives the brand a direct retail presence in Kolkata while also providing a dedicated space for its premium and mainstream collections.

The company plans to continue expanding its presence across key markets, with greater emphasis on experience-led retail and its growing portfolio of bathroom and wellness solutions.
