Bhowanipur 75 Palli Marks the Beginning of Its 61st Year of Durga Puja Celebrations with Khuti Puja and Theme Launch ‘Binodini’

Kolkata: Bhowanipur 75 Palli, one of Kolkata’s most renowned and culturally significant Durga Puja committees, has kicked off its 61st year of celebrations with the traditional Khuti Puja, held at its premises at 1/1C, Debendra Ghosh Road, near Netaji Bhavan Metro Station. This auspicious ritual marks the spiritual beginning of the Durga Puja preparations. On this occasion, the puja committee unveiled its much-awaited theme for 2025 — “Binodini”, a heartfelt tribute to the legendary theatre personality Nati Binodini, who continues to symbolize courage, creative brilliance, and resilience in the face of adversity.

The grand event was graced by an array of eminent personalities, including Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of West Bengal; Kartik Banerjee, Social Activist; Papiya Singh, Councillor; Sandip Ranjan Bakshi, Councillor; Ashim Basu, Councillor; Kajari Banerjee, Councillor; Debalina Biswas, Councillor; Sayan Deb Chatterjee, State Secretary of West Bengal Trinamool Youth Congress, along with several other dignitaries and well-wishers.

Speaking on the occasion, Subir Das, Secretary of Bhowanipur 75 Palli, said:
