“Celebrate Hope” a programme to unite the World against Cancer

Kolkata: Celebrate Hope a programme to celebrate World Cancer Day is the brainchild of senior oncologist, Dr. Vikash Kumar Agarwal. The programme is being organised by V Care Cancer Centre (VCCC) in association with Global Cancer Trust to showcase to the world that sheer human will can alone cure half the disease and to pay a tribute to the cancer warriors. To honour their world, their struggle and to encourage the common masses into believing that faith can conquer mountains, is the chief motto of the programme.

Modern science and advancement in technology is making the impossible a possible feat but it’s still a long road ahead. Today, V Care Cancer Centre (VCCC) is organising this programme to spread the message that cancer can be defeated. VCCC is a cancer center located in the heart of the city, near Phoolbagan metro station that provides the latest diagnosis and treatment procedures for cancer, with the aim of providing holistic care to patients. It’s one of the best centers in the city that specialises in oncological services but is definitely not limited to it. With the vision of providing the best treatment with human touch, post chemotherapy, post-surgery home care services, it caters to a complete range of cancer care and an umbrella of hope.

VCCC focuses primarily in cancer care, it offers a wide range of multi modal services such as tumor board facilities, cancer vaccination, genetic counselling, immunotherapy, pain management and other allied services. Started by Senior Oncologist, Dr. Vikash Kumar Agarwal and Health Coach, Vibha Agarwal, who are the backbone of this organisation have been steering forward with the mission, “Together, We Can Cure Cancer.”

Dr. Vikash Kumar Agarwal, senior oncologist, V Care Cancer Centre, said, “Being an oncosurgeon, all I can say is that cancer is curable, if detected early. VCCC has over the past two decades conducted several successful holistic cancer treatments as well as over 300 cancer awareness programmes. Today, VCCC has branched out to different parts of the country and has also established a one of a kind Tumour Board that not only facilitates cancer treatment with the provision of both physical and virtual consultancy but also hopes to be the bridge between rural and urban areas.”

The awareness programme witnesses blood cancer winning former Indian National Team footballer Surojit Bose, celebrities like famous actors Kaushik Chakraborty, Debraj Mukherjee, singers Satadal Chatterjee and cancer winners, warriors and others at V Care Cancer Center who all come together to motivate the cancer warriors and had an interactive session with them.
