Kolkata: Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager/Sealdah, conducted an inspection at Dum Dum Station today in preparation for essential maintenance work scheduled to commence from April 18th, 2024, to May 7th, 2024.
During the inspection, Sri Nigam assessed readiness and infrastructural facilities to ensure the smooth execution of the proposed maintenance activities. The planned work aims to improve passenger amenities and enhance the overall operational efficiency of Dum Dum station.
In the light of the upcoming maintenance work, Sri Deepak Nigam has urged passengers for their kind cooperation for few days. He acknowledged that, the project work might cause temporary inconvenience; however, he emphasized on long-term benefits.
Passengers are advised to go through Railway Notifications from time to time both from Newspaper advertisement and Social media handles of Eastern Railway & Sealdah Division. Commuters can also inquire at stations for the latest updates. DRM/Sealdah reiterates that today’s pain will bring tomorrow’s gain as it will ease operational constraints in future for ensuring smooth train movement.
