Sealdah Division Organizes Media Tour to Showcase Progress Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme

Kolkata : Sealdah Division of Eastern Railways has organized a press media tour to showcase the progress of infrastructure development works at Amrit Bharat Stations. The basis objective was to elaborate the ongoing works at Naihati, Kalyani and Kalyani Ghosh Para stations.

During the visit, media representatives were provided with a comprehensive overview of the on-going projects at each station showcasing new amenities pertaining to passenger amenities and facilities to be provided for Railway users. The tour highlighted the completed and on-going works, including :-

•Naihati Station (NH):

*Replacement of platform shed with biodegradable bamboo mat sheed.
*Raising platform heights.
*Dismantling of old chequer tiles and fixing of anti-skid Kota stone

• Kalyani Station (KYI):

*Completion of platform surfacing.
*Constraction of cafeteria at station circulating area.
*Replacement of platform shed with biodegradable bamboo mat sheet.

• Kalyani Ghosh Para Station (KLYG):

*Completion of platform surfacing.
*Erection of platform shed structure.
*Progress in Facade work
*Construction of water Booth and sitting arrangements.
*Completion of toilet construction.

Print and electronic media were also appraised about detailed information on the various aspects of the project, including Scope of Work, Units and Areas, Sanctioned Cost, and an update on the progress of each work component, including completed and on-going stages.

The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme plays a crucial role in achieving this goal by modernizing Railway stations and providing improved modern amenities. The media tour served to highlight the unwavering dedication and progress made in transforming these stations equipped with world-class facilities.
