Birbhum: A recent incident has shaken the foundations of Kalitha Gram Panchayat, Nalhati, Birbhum, where CPI(M) members, including opposition leader Moin Sheikh, were allegedly attacked by Trinamool Congress members. The incident occurred on 3rd December, during a meeting at the Block Development Officer’s (BDO) office.

Moin Sheikh, a vocal critic of corruption, claimed that the Trinamool Congress members, led by the pradhan of Kalitha Gram Panchayat, attacked them without provocation. The victims are currently admitted to Rampurhat Medical College Hospital.
