Kolkata : In a concerted effort to promote ticket booking and enhance railway revenue, Sealdah Division carried out an extensive special checking drive under the leadership of PCCM Dr. Uday Shankar Jha alongwith DCM Sealdah Sashi Ranjan Kumar.
The division-wide operation resulted in the apprehension of 728 ticketless passengers, generating a revenue of Rs. 191720 and 150 for luggage and earn as fine rs 26060 total no of case 878 and rs 2,17,780 for the division. The primary objective of this initiative is to raise awareness among commuters about the legal implications of ticketless travel and encourage the adoption of hassle-free ticket booking practices.

To facilitate convenient ticketing, Sealdah Division offers multitude of payment options, including Uts on mobile, ATVM, and QR code payments. Passengers are urged to make the most of these services and ensure they possess a valid ticket before boarding any train.
