Kolkata : Narendra Modi, Prime Minister has inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth Rs 26,000 crore from Bikaner, Rajasthan. Emphasising India’s continuous efforts to modernise its Railway network, PM pointed out the significant infrastructure advancements over the past 11 years, including modernization of more than 1,300 railway stations is being carried out to improve passenger experience significantly. Hon’ble PM has dedicated 103 Amrit Bharat Station today to the Nation of 18 states today through video conferencing, one of which was Kalyani Ghosh Para Station in Sealdah Division.
Kalyani Ghosh Para Station is now upgraded as World standard station with improved station building, Concourse, Circulating area & Facade. The entire station is now fully covered by shed. It’s now loaded with Single/double Face Train Information Boards, GPS Clock, Speaker, GPS Based outdoor True Colour LED Tower Clock etc. For Divyangjans – Two ramps, low height booking counter, Toilet & Water booths have been installed. A fully furnished waiting hall is also there with a small library.
PM has mentioned that, Amrit Bharat Station Scheme plays a pivotal role in achieving goal of modernizing world class Railway stations, loaded with improved modern amenities.
Shantanu Thakur, MOS Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways , Jagannath Sarkar/ MP, Ashim Sarkar/ MLA, Swapan Majumder,/ MLA, Ambika Roy/ MLA and Subrata Thakur/ MLA were present in the inauguration ceremony. Rajeev Saxena, DRM/Sealdah alongwith Divisional Officers were also present in the dedication function at Kalyani Ghosh Para. About 2300 spectators were also witnessed the historic dedication ceremony today and also expressed their happiness after witnessing station premises with cutting edge technological upgradations.
