Kolkata : Myntra, in collaboration with St. Xavier’s University’s flagship cultural fest XAVRANG, marked a high-energy debut of the Myntra Glamfest Tour in Kolkata on January 16, bringing together fashion, music, creators, and campus culture in a vibrant, immersive celebration. The event witnessed an impressive on-ground footfall of 7,000+ students from across the city, transforming the university campus into a buzzing hub of trend discovery, live entertainment, and creative expression.
Positioned as Myntra’s newest youth-centric campus movement, the Glamfest Tour delivered sustained engagement throughout the day with a mix of fashion-led programming, interactive brand experiences, and live performances. At the heart of the action was the Myntra Experience Zone, which emerged as a major crowd-puller. Featuring distinct immersive sections such as Party Pit, Filmy Fever, and Underground Alley, the zone offered pop-culture-inspired games, street-style installations, photo moments, and curated merchandise showcases that resonated strongly with Gen Z audiences.
Student creativity took centre stage through a series of competitive and collaborative formats, including an Inter-University Talent Hunt, a high-energy Fashion Competition culminating in the awarding of the prestigious Myntra Fashion Title and a 30-minute fashion showcase by students of St. Xavier’s University. The showcase featured looks styled entirely using Myntra’s fashion and accessories, reinforcing the platform’s relevance in contemporary campus fashion.
The energy on campus peaked with a sensational live performance by Asees Kaur, whose headlining act brought together thousands of students singing along to her most loved tracks. Her performance emerged as one of the most memorable highlights of the evening, perfectly capturing the spirit of the Glamfest Tour and its seamless blend of music, fashion and youth culture.
Commenting on the successful Kolkata edition, Abhishek Gour, Senior Director – Brand, Myntra, said:
“For Myntra, engaging young audiences today means moving beyond traditional brand touchpoints to experiences rooted in culture and participation. The Kolkata edition of the Myntra Glamfest Tour reflects this shift by bringing fashion and music directly into campus spaces, where youth engagement is most organic. The overwhelming response at St. Xavier’s University’s XAVRANG reinforces the relevance of campus-led formats and highlights how immersive, on-ground experiences are shaping the way young consumers discover and engage with fashion.”
With Kolkata marking a strong and impactful start, the Myntra Glamfest Tour is set to expand its footprint, reaching more college campuses across the country in the coming months.
