Kolkata : Purti Realty marked International Women’s Day with a meaningful workplace initiative built around the theme “Before We Built Buildings, Women Built Us.” The observance brought employees together for a reflective programme combining leadership insights, a symbolic gratitude activity and a financial independence workshop.
Moving beyond conventional celebrations, the initiative focused on acknowledging the profound influence of women in shaping individuals’ lives and careers. Employees were invited to write handwritten ‘thank you’ notes to women who have significantly impacted their personal and professional journeys.
The letters were sealed and placed on a specially designed installation wall, where each envelope symbolically represented a “brick of gratitude.” The visual display highlighted a powerful message — that behind every professional achievement stands the support, values and encouragement of women who helped build those foundations.
As part of the programme, a financial awareness session was conducted by advisors from Saibal Biswas & Associates. The session covered key financial topics including Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs), mutual funds, insurance planning, tax-saving strategies and retirement planning. It aimed to empower women employees with knowledge to strengthen their long-term financial security and decision-making.
Speaking about the initiative, Mahesh Agarwal, Managing Director of Purti Realty, said:
“In our business, foundations determine sustainability. Today we acknowledge the foundations behind our people. Long before we build structures of concrete and steel, it is the women in our lives who shape our character, values and resilience. Recognising that influence, while also enabling financial awareness, is essential to building a responsible and nurturing organisational culture.”
The programme concluded with informal interactions among employees, while the gratitude installation remained as a visual reminder of the personal foundations that support professional growth and organisational strength.
