Kolkata: The trailer of Bengali film ‘C/O A Journey’, starring Bonny Sengupta and Darshana Banik, was released on Thursday, offering a glimpse into a story centred on family, loneliness, relationships and a child’s search for his father.
Directed by Pratik Sarkar, the film follows Patu, a young boy from a remote village in Bengal who grows up with his elderly grandmother after losing his mother. His father lives in Kolkata, away from him. Wanting to meet his father, Patu sets out for the city, where his journey brings him into contact with different people and unexpected situations.
The trailer shows how the child’s search gradually turns into a larger journey involving relationships, companionship and the meaning of family. Bonny Sengupta and Darshana Banik appear at the centre of the story, while Chandan Sen, Silajit Majumder, Sudip Mukherjee and Trishanjit Chowdhury are also part of the cast.
The film has been directed by Pratik Sarkar, with the story credited to Pratik Sarkar and Saptarshi Ghatak. The screenplay and dialogues have been written by Saptarshi Ghatak and Shinjan Basu.
Produced by Mahadiganta Communication & Network (MCN), ‘C/O A Journey’ looks at human relationships through the perspective of a child and explores how an unexpected journey can lead to new bonds and a different understanding of belonging.
