Kolkata

Kolkata: With the electoral roll revision process underway in West Bengal, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has issued an important update for voters whose names are missing from the electoral roll.

The SIR 2026 list of ASDD voters—those marked as Absentee, Shifted, Dead or Deleted—has been made available online. According to the CEO’s office, eligible individuals whose names appear in the ASDD list can apply for inclusion in the electoral roll by submitting Form 6.

The application can be submitted online or through the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO).

First-time voters can also apply

The CEO office has also urged young and first-time eligible voters to get their names enrolled in the electoral roll.

Anyone who has attained the age of 18 years and is eligible to vote can submit Form 6 online or through their BLO to apply for inclusion in the electoral roll.

How to apply

Eligible citizens can:

  • Check whether their name appears in the SIR 2026 ASDD list.
  • Submit Form 6 if their name needs to be included in the electoral roll.
  • Apply online or submit the form through the concerned BLO.
  • First-time voters who have turned 18 can also use Form 6 to register themselves.

The CEO’s office said the electoral roll updation process is being carried out under the supervision and control of the Election Commission of India, in accordance with the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.
