Mumbai/New Delhi: Actress and stage 4 cancer survivor Rozlyn Khan has publicly raised concerns over the emotional and financial pressure she says she is facing amid her long-running legal battle.
In a statement and social media post, Khan alleged that the ongoing proceedings and the ₹5 lakh cost imposed by the Supreme Court have added to the stress she is already experiencing while undergoing medical treatment.
Khan also named Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta while expressing her anger over the proceedings. She alleged that she has faced continued pressure over the court-imposed cost and questioned the lack of empathy she says she has experienced as a cancer patient.
“If anything happens to me, Supreme Court will be responsible. They have been torturing me for ₹5 lakh,” Khan alleged, adding that she is simultaneously dealing with cancer treatment and a legal battle.
The dispute involves Khan and advocate Rizwan Siddiquee and has remained in litigation for several years. In its August 21, 2026 judgment, the Supreme Court imposed costs of ₹5 lakh each on the two parties and directed that the money be deposited with the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee. The court also criticised the conduct of both sides and noted the long duration of the litigation.
Khan has separately alleged that people connected with the proceedings came to Kokilaben Hospital and pressured her over the payment. She further claimed that questions were raised about the authenticity of her cancer diagnosis.
“They have gone to an extent where they feel I am faking my cancer,” Khan alleged, describing the experience as particularly distressing for someone undergoing treatment.
Her comments also included a direct reference to Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta. Khan said that if anything happened to her, she would hold them responsible. These statements represent Khan’s allegations and concerns; there is no finding in the publicly available court order that the named judges personally harassed or tortured her.
The legal proceedings have continued following the August judgment. Khan subsequently filed a review petition, which was dismissed by the Supreme Court on September 22, 2026.
In another Instagram post, Khan spoke about the mental pressure she says the situation has created and wrote that she feels pushed to the limit. She also asked that the people she holds responsible be held accountable if anything happens to her.
Khan, who has publicly spoken about surviving stage 4 cancer, said she is not seeking sympathy but wants greater sensitivity towards her situation.
“I have survived stage 4 cancer. I know what it means to fight for every single day of your life,” she said.
The allegations made by Khan against the judges and others involved in the matter have not been independently established. The court record, meanwhile, documents the ₹5 lakh costs imposed on both parties and the subsequent dismissal of Khan’s review petition.
The latest statements have once again brought attention to the intersection of Khan’s health concerns and her prolonged legal dispute, while the judicial findings remain a separate matter from the allegations she has made publicly.
