Kolkata: Celebrating the vibrant spirit of Durga Puja and Bengal’s festive traditions, Britannia Cakes has launched its latest campaign, ‘Unwrap the Joy of Celebrations’, highlighting the little moments that make the festive season special. From the beats of the dhaak and pandal hopping to Pushpanjali, Sindoor Khela and family gatherings, the campaign aims to bring the joy of Bengal’s celebrations closer to consumers.

The campaign features special festive edition packs, a brand film, augmented reality (AR) activation and a series of celebratory activities across West Bengal, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage and the emotional connections associated with its biggest festive season.

Special Edition Packs Celebrate Six Bengali Traditions

As part of the campaign, Britannia Cakes has introduced special edition packs featuring vibrant artwork inspired by six festive rituals and traditions. The designs capture the colours, customs and celebratory spirit of Bengal, bringing familiar Puja moments to life through the brand’s packaging.

The six themes include Sindoor Khela, the rhythmic beats of the dhaak, Pushpanjali, the auspicious sound of the shankho, the traditional Kola Bou ritual and the graceful movements of Dhunuchi dance.

Through these designs, the brand seeks to celebrate the traditions that bring families, friends and communities together during the festive season. A brand film inspired by the special edition packs further showcases these cultural moments on screen.

Britannia Cakes Metro Wrap Brings Festive Cheer to Kolkata

Extending the campaign beyond its packaging, Britannia Cakes has rolled out festive branding across Kolkata’s Green Line metro corridor. The Britannia Cakes Metro Wrap is travelling across the route from Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V, bringing the campaign’s festive message to commuters across the city.

The brand is also planning a special newspaper-led augmented reality activation. Over six consecutive days, newspaper advertisements will highlight six different festive rituals, with QR codes enabling consumers to create their own festive avatars.

Participants can choose looks inspired by Bengali cultural traditions, including a dhaaki or a Dhunuchi dancer, and share their creations with friends and family.

Campaign Celebrates Bengal’s Emotional Connection with Puja

Speaking about the campaign, Shekhar Agarwal, General Manager, Britannia, said West Bengal has always held a special place in Britannia Cakes’ journey, with the brand’s relationship with consumers shaped by years of shared experiences.

He noted that the festive season brings together traditions, families, friends and communities, making it one of the most significant times of the year for the region. Through ‘Unwrap the Joy of Celebrations’, the brand aims to honour these familiar moments while adding sweetness and joy to the festivities.

As another part of the campaign, Britannia Cakes will engage with people on Kolkata’s streets to explore the memories and stories evoked by the special edition packs. The initiative will highlight personal experiences ranging from family traditions and neighbourhood gatherings to rituals passed down through generations.

With this campaign, Britannia Cakes seeks to connect its products with the cultural experiences and shared memories that make Bengal’s festive season distinctive.
