Aradeep Chatterjee Cleared of All Charges, Gets Clean Chit in PMLA Case

Kolkata : Aradeep Chatterjee, an internationally known figure in alternative cancer therapy, has been honourably exonerated from all criminal charges, including money laundering under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), by competent courts. Cases were registered against Aradeep Chatterjee in 2017 by the Bidhannagar Police, followed by an Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe. The ED had attached his savings and properties and filed a prosecution complaint in 2019. After prolonged trials, the Barasat Fast Track Court acquitted both accused in police cases, while the Special ED Court at Bichar Bhawan discharged them from the PMLA case.

The orders have attained finality as neither the State nor the ED challenged them. Attached assets have been released and returned with interest.

Reacting to the verdict, Aradeep Chatterjee said the judgment reaffirmed his faith in the Indian judiciary and thanked his legal team, especially Advocate Sk. Areful Murshed, for their effective representation.
