Kolkata: Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager, Eastern Railway felicitated two security personnels namely Dinanath, Constable, Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) and Awadesh Kumar Ram, Constable, Railway Protection Force (RPF) for saving life of a lady passenger trying to deboard from a through passing train at Bardhaman on 5th October.
It passed on the day at 12PM, when Dinanath, Constable RPSF & Awadesh Kumar Ram, Constable RPF was on duty at Barddhaman station keeping watch on platform number 5, observed a lady while trying to alight from a sleeper coach of 12024, Patna – Howrah Jana Shatabdi Express. As the train was in through passing condition, the lady lost her balance. These two RPSF/RPF Jawans rushed for reaching there immediately and pull out the lady to ensure here safety. After saving the life, the security personnel also took care of the lady by supplying with ice and water helped her recovering from the trauma and escorted the lady to board another train Mithilanchal Express to reach her home at Asansol safely.
The family members of the lady have expressed their gratitude for such bravery of these two security personnel in rescuing the lady Sunita Singh as well as extending help to the extent possible for ensuring her safety and well-being.
Dinanath, Constable RPSF has been appointed in the special forces in the year 2015 and Awadesh Kumar Ram has been appointed in the security forces in the year 2006, have served at many locations across the country and have always been keen to help the person when in need.
