Kolkata: Director General Rakesh Pal, PTM, TM Director General Indian Coast Guard is on his maiden visit to Coast Guard Region Headquarters (North East) from 10 -13 October review the Operational Readiness and status of ongoing Infrastructure development projects in the State of West Bengal, which would involve inspecting afloat facilities and equipment at Haldia and visit to forward Indian Coast Guard base at Frazerganj for assessing Operational preparedness.
The Flag Officer visited Headquarters (NE) on 11th October and was received with Ceremonial 50 Men Guard of Honour. He was presented with an overview on Coast Guard Operational and on-going Coast Guard infrastructure development projects in the State of West Bengal and Odisha. In his address, the Flag Officer apprised Officers and men of Indian Coast Guard on policy reviews, upcoming development in terms of Infrastructure, augmentation of CG Fleet and international cooperation.
The Flag Officer will be Chairing National Maritime Search and Rescue Board meeting (NMSARB) on 12th October at Kolkata.
