Kolkata : Eastern Railway popularly known as passenger carrying Railway for its innumerable services including Mail/Express, local & passenger trains.
Inspite of mammoth passenger services, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah & Malda Divisions have achieved a punctuality of 92.81% & 89.68% respectively in respect of Mail/ Exoress trains during the current fiscal 2023-24 upto 10th October.
Eastern Railway is making continuous endeavours with capacity augmentation, works like installation of RRI, multiple lines, panel interlocking, elimination of level crossing gates etc. to increase the sectional speed which ultimately helps in punctual & safe train operations.
