Kolkata: Cyclone Dana is expected to make landfall between Odisha and West Bengal on October 24, has prompted immediate action by Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warning of heavy rainfall and wind speeds up to 120 km/hr in the coastal areas.
In view of the approaching Cyclone DANA, Sealdah Division has decided to cancel approximately 160 suburban services, primarily in the Sealdah South section, as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of train operations, security of passengers and Railway infrastructure.
Train from Sealdah South Station:
• Suspension Period: From 8:00 PM on 24.10.24, to 10:00 AM on 25.10.24.
Train towards Sealdah South Station:
• Suspension Period: From 7:00 PM on 24.20.24 to 9:00 AM on 25.10.24.
Sealdah-Barasat-Hasnabad Services:
• Suspension Period: From 8:00 PM on 24.10.24, to 10:00 AM on 25.10.24.
